Horticulture

Members grow and study plants, flowers, and vegetables, learning about plant science, soil health, and pest management. 

We have enjoyed trips to see Muttart Gardens in Edmonton, and to various greenhouses and gardens locally. 

We have learned about soil food webs, composting, season extension, and each member has their own 4x4 raised beds which we go visit in late August as our Achievement Day. 

We also raise and sell tomatoes to the club as a fundraiser for our group. 

The group can place items in the club Achievement Day auction sale provided the club votes to allow multi project items in the sale. 

The members will have a display at club Achievement Day.
