Food is new this year! We decided we wanted to do foods this year to teach kids about getting back to basics, using what we have and grow and then including fun life skills. Also we left it up to the kids on what they wanted to learn. This year we have done Canning, Grocery Budgeting, sourdough , Christmas Traditional cooking and baking, we learned how to cook some Chinese foods, catered a 4-H regional event, and spent a day smoking and making jerky and sausages. We have 8 awesome ladies and already have big plans for next year! We will have a judge coming in for Achievement Day to judge some sourdough and will be auctioning off a basket of goodies.
