Creative Option

This project sprang to life when a senior member felt he had come to the end of his sheep project career but wasn't quite ready to finish his 4-H journey! Lucky enough for him, Neil Frank was willing to show these 2 members some advanced techniques in welding and so this creative option was born! The crew met a few times to practise different welds, talk about supplies or to run through project plans. Neil organized the boys to go on a Blacksmithing course where they learned to manipulate metal in a new way. They both were able to make an ornate fire poker. Very recently they were able to do something for the club by beefing up the hitch on the sheep panel trailer so it would be safer to pull. It has been a great year of learning.
