Cleavers

The Cleaver Kids program is all about having fun!  Cleavers have always been a part of our club and they are an essential group of kids, our future members!  Cleavers are between the ages of 6 to 8 and the goals of the program are a little different from 4-H members.  The Cleaver program focuses on developing friendships and listening skills, developing a sense of belonging to the club and community and learning to set goals and celebrate achievements.  We work on exposing the Cleavers to different project groups available in our club in an interactive way!  This year we have gone fishing, baked yummy cookies, helped load bottles for the bottle drive, had a winter fun day, tried our hand at art and woodworking and made a variety of spring activities! It is wonderful to see new friendships form and watch the children grow as individuals!
